A little-known independent treatise on Advaita-Vedānta in 12 chapters (varṇakas), of uncertain date but no doubt belonging to the second millennium (see Thangaswami 1980: 437-438). The work is essentially meant as an introduction to the study of the Yogavāsiṣṭha (K. Narayanaswami Aiyar & R. Sundareswara Sastri 1918). Malayalam prose renderings of a shorter version of this work (called Laghuvāsudevamanana) are also found in print (see K. Raghavan Pillai 1969).
