The bundle is composed of 8 palm leave; it is incomplete. The leaves are damaged so as the number is visible only on the pages 3, 4, 6, 8, and 9. They are extremely darkened due to fungus infestation.
The part relates the encounter between Ṥiva and the couple Mirukaṇṭu-Marutuvati. In response to their request to get a child, Civa proposed them to choose between 100 fool sons with a hundred-year life and an intelligent and obedient son with a sixteen-year life. Choosing the second option, the couple obtained a son that they named Mārkaṇṭeyaṉ. The child grew as a perfect child and reached the age of 16.
The text ends when Marutuvati is lamenting about the imminent death of Mārkaṇṭeyaṉ who requests his mother to explain the cause of her torment.
Size of the manuscript: 61.5cm x 3.4cm. The numbering is visible on the leaves 3,4,6,8 and 9 as the other leaves are partly broken. The manuscript is extremely fragile and breakable.
