The manuscript is formed by a text, incomplete, composed of two introductive palm leaves with a short note and leaves numbered from 1 to 34. The manuscript is in good condition. A few scripts on several leaves have been damaged by mould.
The text, is written in both prose and verses, presents the preparation of medicines: a medicated oil called Aṇṭa tailam; waxy medicines notably, Veṭiyuppu meḻuku, Navamūrtti meḻuku, Kauri raca centūra meḻuku, Vīra meḻuku, Kauri meḻuku, Liṅka meḻuku, Vīra liṅka meḻuku and Kenti raca meḻuku; and some calcinated products based on metals and mineral such as Cempu paṟpam, Nāka centūram, Liṅka kaṭṭu and Uppu kaṭṭu.
The text mentions the process to purify copper (ūral pōkka).
Size of the manuscript: 29.0cm x 3.2cm. The text contains palm leaves numbered from 1 to 34 in Tamil and Arab; 1 and 3 blank leaves placed respectively at the beginning and the end of the manuscript as well as two leaves with a note placed at the beginning of the text. The manuscript is in good condition. A few scripts on several leaves have been damaged by mould.
