The manuscript comprises two palm leaves, the first mentioning the name of the previous owner of the manuscript, Cu. Pākiya Nāṭāṉ Vaittiyar, and the second, a salutation to Ganesha, and a text, incomplete, composed of palm leaves numbered from 1 to 60 and of blank leaves numbered from 62 to 65. The manuscript, made of leaves from Corypha umbraculifera is in excellent condition; the leaves are however darkened and one of them is broken.

The text describes formulations to prepare medicines and informs the medicinal plants (mūlikai) they include as well as diseases that some of the medicines treat. The formulations concern:

Decoctions: Mūtaṇṭa kaṣāyam.

Medicated oils: Cantaṉāti eṇṇey and Ayaṉa vilvāti eṇṇey; Muṭṭai tailam and Taca mūla tailam as well as an oil (eṇṇey) for treating sinusitis (pīnicam).

Dried plant powders: Kōḻi cūraṇam, Cīraka cūraṇam, Paṭṭaicūraṇam, Iñci cūraṇam and Civātai cūraṇam, as well a dried plant powder (poṭi) to treat flatus (vāyu).

Medicated ghī: Kukkil kirutam; Cukku ney.

Electuaries: Tēṅkāi lēkiyam, Kōmūttira lēkiyam and Kōtumai lēkiyam.

Pills: Miruttuvāti kuḷikai and Mānta kuḷikai; Āṉanta pairavaṉ māttirai, Elāti māttirai and Akkiṉi kumāraṉ māttirai; Viṣṇu cakkaram, as well as pills (kuḷikai) for treating diarrhoea (vayiṟṟaḻaccal) and fever (curam).

Wax-like medicines: Iñci kuḻampu, Cātiliṅka kuḻampu and Akattiyar kuḻampu.

Calcined white medicines prepared from metals and minerals: Uppu paṟpam, Nāka paṟpam, Aritāra paṟpam, Pāṣāṇa paṟpam, Keruṭapaccai paṟpam, Porikāra paṟpam, Navācāra paṟpam, Kalnār paṟpam, Liṅka paṟpam, Cavukkāra paṟpam, Kantaka paṟpam, Tāmira paṟpam, Veḷḷi paṟpam, Lōka paṟpam, Kānta paṟpam, Vaṅka paṟpam and Aritāra paṟpam; Aritāra veḷḷai.

Calcined red medicines prepared from metals and minerals: Apraka centūram, Kānta centūram, Pañcalōka centūram, Tāmira paṟpa centūram, Raca centūram, Veṭiyuppu centūram

Cāttirapēti centūram and Aritāra centūram; Pūraṇa cantrōtayam.

Medicines based on mercury: Nīlakaṇṭa vālai.

A medicine (maruntu) to treat rat bites (eli kaṭi) and a black paste used as a eye liner (mai) to counteract poisoning (viṣam).

Size of the manuscript: 19.3cm x 4.3cm. The text contains palm leaves of Corypha umbraculifera numbered from 1 to 60 in Tamil and Arab, 5 blank leaves numbered from 62 to 65 and 3 leaves placed at the beginning of the text: the 1st is blank, the 2nd presents the name of the first owner, and the 3rd, a salutation to Ganeṣa. The manuscript is in excellent condition; the leaves are however darkened and one of them is broken.
