The manuscript is formed by a text containing 12 palm leaves numbered between 40 and 89 and three broken leaves which have no longer their number. The manuscript is in good condition. Despite the leaves are very darkened due to fungus infestation and a few leaves are broken, the reading of the text is not affected.
The text, written in verses, presents several medicinal formulations, among them, some not named, are recommended for the treatment of certain diseases. The formulations concern several medicated oils: Catāvēli tailam, Pīnica tailam, Mataṉa kāmesvari tailam and a tailam for treating disease caused by bad influence (tōṣam); medicated ghī: Āṭātōṭai ney and a ney for treating infertility in women (karppam tarikka); a waxy medicine: Maṇṭūra kuḻampu; a decoction (kaṣāyam) for treating disease caused by vāta imbalance; and medicines (maruntu) for treating jaundice (kāmālai), enlargement of lymph node in neck region (kaṇṭamālai), cough (irumal) and discharge of pus in ears (cīḻ kātu).
Size of the manuscript: 23.0cm x 3.0cm. The text contains palm leaves numbered between 40 and 89 in Tamil and Arab (leaves 46-60, 62-69, 71-73 and 75-86 are missing), 3 leaves without numbering, and two blank leaves placed at the beginning and at the end of the text. The manuscript is in good condition. Despite the leaves are very darkened due to fungus infestation and a few leaves are broken, the reading of the text is not affected.
