The manuscript is composed of 5 texts, complete and written in verses, among them 3 are related to the varma practice. The manuscript is in excellent condition.
Text 1- The text, entitled Varma Kaivalliyam, contains palm leaves numbered from 1 to 16. It describes the human anatomy (uṭal kūṟu), the vital spots (varma) in chest (mārpil) and liver (kārīral), the method of relaxing (iḷakkutal) and enointing (taṭavutal) varma points, the vulnerable point at the top of the head (ucci varma), and the fatal signs when specific varma points are injured (acāttiya kuṟi).
Text 2- The text, entitled Varma Kurunāṭi Tiṟavukōl, is made of palm leaves numbered from 1 to 17. It describes the state of pulses when varma points are injured (kāyam, varmam), the method of relaxing them (iḷakku muṟai) as well as the varma point called kalliṭai kālam.
Text 3- The text, entitled Aṭaṅkaḷ Tiṟavukōl, is constituted of palm leaves numbered from 1 to 32. It describes the methods of stimulating (aṭaṅkaḷ) injured varma located below the neck (kaṇṭattiṉ kīḻ uḷḷa) and stimulating varma for stopping delirium (caṉṉi niṟutta) and bleeding from the nose (mūkkil rattam), for reducing protrusion of eye ball (kaṇ veḷiyē taḷḷiṉāl), of tongue (nākku veḷiyē taḷḷiṉāl), of penis (liṅkam nīṇṭu pōṉāl), for releasing locked jaw (aḷavu mūṭa), and for facilitating urination (ciṟunīr pōka). Some question and answer about varma are also exposed (varma kēḷvi patil). The text explains a method of relaxation called amarttu.
Text 4- The text, entitled Uṟpaṉa Cura Nitāṉam, is composed of palm leaves numbered from 1 to 9 (recto). It concerns the clinical features (nitāṉām) of ten types of fever (curam) caused by imbalance of humours: vāta curam, pitta curam, cileṟpaṇa curam, tiritōṣa curam, vāta pitta curam, vāta cīta curam, pitta vāta curam, pitta cileṟpaṇa curam, cileṟpaṇa pitta curam and caṉṉi rācāṅka kuḷikai.
Text 5- The text, entitled Kumpamuṉi Pīraṅki Nāṭi Nūl, contains only 3 palm leaves numbered from 9 (verso) to 11. This short text describes the three types of pulse: vāta, pitta and kapa.
Size of the manuscript: 18.2cm x 3.2cm. The palm leaves of the five texts are numbered respectively 1 to 16, 1 to 17, 1 to 32, 1 to 9 recto and 9 verso to 11, in Tamil. A 1st leaf placed at the beginning informs the text. There are 13 blank leaves dispatched between each text. The manuscript is in excellent condition.
