The manuscript is formed by two texts written both in verses and in prose. The texts deal with the practice of varma. The manuscript is in excellent state.

Text 1- The text, entitled Varma Maruntukaḷ, is composed of palm leaves numbered from 1 to 43; it is incomplete. The text describes preparations of medicines for treating injuries of vital spots (varmam): Kōḻi kaṣāyam, Kōḻi poṭi, Kōḻi cūraṇam, Kōḻi aṭai, Kōḻi tailam, Cūriya puṭa eṇṇey, Vacaveṇṇey, Entira tailam, Kōḻi ney, Kuḷikai. It explains a decoction (oṟṟal aṭai kacāyam) for treating diverse injuries, medicated powders (poṭi) for treating injury in spleen (pata īral varmam), medicated oils (eṇṇey) to treat injury in neck (kaḻuttu muṟivu) and nerves (narampu piṉṉal), medicines (maruntukaḷ; not named) to treat injuries above neck (kaḻuttiṉ mēl varmam), in head (talaiyil paṭṭa varmam), chest (mārpil koṇṭa kāyam) and liver (kārēral varmam), as well as bandages for treating fractures (muṟivukku aṉattu). The text indicates the fatal signs (acāttiya kuṇam) associated with injuries of vital spots.

Text 2- The text, entitled Varma Aḷavu Nūl maṟṟum Aṭaṅkal Tiravukōl, is composed of palm leaves numbered from 1 to 18; it is complete. The text describes vital spots (varma puḷḷi) and symptoms of injured varmam (kāyam koṇṭāl kuṇam), notably those situated in umbilicus region (toppuḷ kāyam) and the spot located two fingers above the sternum (maṉmata kāla), the methods to relax varma which are injured (taṭavu muṟaikaḷ) as well as the varmaṅkaḷ which, when they are injured led to death in three years (mūṉṟāṇṭil maraṇam varum varma tāṉam).

Size of the manuscript: 20.8cm x 3.2cm. The 2 texts have palm leaves numbered from 1 to 43 and from 1 to 28, respectively. There are 2 blank leaves placed at the begining and end of the manuscript. The manuscript is in excellent condition; a few leaves are darkened by fungus.
