The text which composes the manuscript concerns moral values aiming to guide people during their life. It is written in Tamil verses. It is incomplete as only 64 verses of 100 are available. The palm leavesof the text are numbered in Tamil from 3 to 199 and from 14 to 19. Numerous leaves are missing. The manuscript was very dirty and very disordered; leaves were found in 5 different manuscripts. The major topic developed in the text concerns the state of poverty. When a man become poor, his poverty does not allow him to approach the king to seek help; the king makes him a coward even if he was considered as brave and intelligent before becoming destitute. He loses progressively his reputation: his wife progressively dislikes him and people curse him for his bad position. Having nothing to offer to people who visit him, he feels shame. The poverty is presented as the worse and the saddest situation to which people are confronted. Size of the manuscript: 33.0cm x 3.0cm. The palm leaves of the text are numbered in Tamil from 1 to 51; the leaves 4, 6-13, 16, 35 and 39-43 are missing, and the leaf 44 is double. There are two blank leaves and 10 broken leaves. The manuscript was very dirty and has many broken leaves.
