The manuscript contains a text of 26 palm leaves, numbered and not numbered, belonging to diverse texts as their scripts are various. Many palm leaves are broken and/or damaged by rodents, but the reading is little affected.
The text, written in verses and prose, describes formulations of medicines for treating diseases, their dosage and the appropriate time of consumption. The diseases which are concerned are: leucoderma (patakari kāl veḷḷai and kai veḷḷai), hiccup (vikkal) and hiccup with vomiting (catti vikkal), abdomen colic (cūlaiyāl eṟpaṭum vayiṟṟu vali), flatus (kuṟai vāyu), stomach pain (vayiṟṟu kaṭuppu), ascites (kavucci, keṇṭai, nīrāmai, vīkkam), diabetes (nīriḻivu), a pitta disease (uṣṇam), migraine (oṟṟai talaivali), tumour (vippuruti), five types of convulsions (vali aintu), and sinusitis (pīṉicam). Some medicines are also indicated to drip water from eye (kaṇṇil nīr vaṭital), to facilitate delivery (piḷḷai viḻa, yōṉi taḷḷa) and to favour puberty when it is delete (rutu viḻāta peṇṇirkku).
The formulations of medicines which are provided are: Cīraka lēkiyam; Ātiyanta kuḷikai; Pavaḷa paṟpam, Nāka paṟpam and Veḷḷi paṟpam; Raca kaṭṭu, Pāṣāṇa kaṭṭu and Kentaka kaṭṭu.
Size of the manuscript: 30.0cm x 3.5cm. The manuscript is composed of palm leaves numbered in Tamil and not numbered belonging to diverse texts. The manuscript is in poor condition: many palm leaves are broken and/or damaged by rodents, but the reading is little affected. . The manuscript is in excellent condition, very slightly damaged by larvae.
