The manuscript is constituted of a text of 68 palm leaves numbered from 42 to 127. The manuscript is in excellent condition; a part of a text of the leaf n° 49 which is broken is missing.
The text written in prose is a compilation of medical notes written by a siddha practitioner whose name is not mentioned. It describes formulations of medicines for treating various diseases: Acuvakanti cūraṇam, Cavvīra paṟpam and Cavvīra meḻuku, a medicated oil (eṇṇey) and a medicine (maruntu; not named) for treating symptoms similar to Parkinson disease (pārica vāyu), medicines for treating tuberculosis (iḷaippu), asthma (īḻai, kācam), scrotal swelling (aṇṭavāyu), gastritis (eri vāyu), flatus due to imbalance of pitta (pitta vāyu) and during pregnancy (kerpa vāyu), hiccup (vikkal), eye diseases (kaṇ nōykaḷ) sinusitis (pīṉicam), discharge of pus in ears (kātil cīḻ vaṭital), cough (irumal) and tooth ache (tanta cūlai). The text presents some external medicines among them Cātiliṅka pukai and an oil which is applied on the body and head (muḻukka eṇṇey) for treating indigestion (māntam) in children.
Size of the manuscript: 18.8cm x 2.8cm. The palm leaves of the text are numbered from 42 to 127. Numerous leaves are missing: 56-58, 60-61, 63, 74, 77, 82-83, 85, 88-89, 92, 94 and 108-109. Two blank leaves are placed at the beginning and at the end of the text. Except for the leaf n° 49 which is very damaged, the manuscript is in excellent condition.
