The manuscript is made of a text of 7 palm leaves whose 3 numbered from 1 to 3. The leaves of this text formed a bundle of three sets of leaves of different size. The manuscript is in good condition; the leaves are stained by fungus and are slightly affected by larvae.
The text, written in prose, concerns preparations of medicines developed by its author including, quantity of raw material, method of calcination, dosage form, adjuvant, diet proscriptions and the diseases which are targeted. The formulations are: Karuvaṅka paṟpam, Lōka centūram, Cāra kaṭṭu and Cavvīra maṇi kaṭṭu as well as a dry plant powder (cūraṇam) for treating urinary tract infection (mēkam) and toothache (palvali), and medicines (maruntu; not named) for treating poison of scorpion (tēḷ) and black scorpion (naṭṭuvākkāli) stings.
Size of the manuscript: 19.0cm x 3.5cm. The palm leaves of the text are numbered 1 to 3; there are two additional leaves and two blank leaves placed at the beginning and at the end of the text. The manuscript is in good condition; the leaves are stained by fungus and are slightly affected by larvae.
