The manuscript is composed of a text of 46 palm leaves numbered from 12 to 81. The manuscript is extremely damaged by larvae and bees; 14 leaves are broken so that their numbering has disappeared.
The text, written in verses, describes formulations of medicines and the diseases they treat, especially delirium (caṉṉi pātam) and delirium during pregnancy (karppa caṉṉi), menorrahagia (perumpāṭu) and eye diseases (kaṇ nōy).
The formulations of medicines concern:
Dry plant powders: Cura māḷikai campratāya cūraṇam
Medicated ghī: Puḷiyārai ney, Tayir ney, Palācu ney, Cukku ney and Nāyuruvi ney, as well as a ghī called Vallārai ney for treating poisoning (nañcu).
A calcined white medicine based on metals and minerals made according to the tradition called Campiratāya paṟpam.
A calcined red medicine prepared from metals and minerals called Urukku centūram
Pills: Pañca vastirakāya pūpati, Āṉanta vairavaṉ and Kuṉmakuṭōri, as well as a pill called Campiratāya kuḷikai for treating gastritis (kuṉmam).
Elixirs: Elixir prepared with Ceropegia juncea (cōmarōka racam) and with Ficus glomerata (cūcikāppāṇam).
A decoction (kuṭinīr) for treating piles (mūlam) and a medicine (not specified) for treating diabetes (nīriḻivu).
The text presents the process to purify metals such as mercury (cūtam) and lead (vaṅkam) and minerals such as sulphur (kantakam), arsenic disulphide (maṉōcilai) and arsenic trisulphide (tāḷakam).
Size of the manuscript: 40,5cm x 4,0cm. The palm leaves of the text are numbered (12-21; 23-25; 28-33, 44-45, 50-51, 53; 58, 61; 68-81) and 14, which are broken, have no longer a number. The manuscript is in very bad state; numerous leaves are partly broken or peripherically damaged by sand deposited by bees.
