The manuscript is composed of a text containing 12 palm leaves numbered from 1 to 13; there is an introductive leaf and the leaves 9 and 10 are missing. The manuscript is in good condition, the leaves being little affected by larvae.
The text, written in prose, describes formulations of medicines, the quantity of raw material, the diseases for which they are recommended as well as their posology and appropriate time to consume them. The diseases mentioned are: deafness (kātaṭaippu), eye diseases (kaṇ nōy), cough (irumal), colic pain (vayiṟu kaṭuppu), anuria (nīr aṭaippu, nīrkaṭṭu), venereal disease (cīppiramiyam), menorrhagia (perumpāṭu), diseases in uterine (karppa viyāti), bronchial asthma (cuvāca nōy) and poisonous bites (viṣappākam).
The formulations of medicines which are mentioned are Tāḷaka paṟpam, Raca paṟpam and Lōka centūram as well as a medicine (maruntu) prepared with fresh ginger (iñci).
Size of the manuscript: 17,7cm x 2,7cm. The palm leaves of the text are numbered from 1 to 13; the leaves 9 and 10 are missing. There is an introductive leaf as well as two blank leaves placed at the beginning and at the end of the text.The manuscript is in good condition, the leaves being little affected by larvae.
