The manuscript is composed of a single text which contains palm leaves numbered from 1 to 11; The leaf n° 8 is missing. The manuscript is in good condition, the leaves are slightly damaged by larvae.
The text is entiled Kaucikar 13 Vakai Kuḻampu; it is written in verses. As mentioned by its title, the text describes formulation of thirteen types of wax-like medicines or kuḻampu. It indicates the required raw materials and their quantity, the diseases for which each kuḻampu is recommended and the method of administration of each including the appropriate adjuvant. It specifies the importance of adjuvants which allow the medicines to cure diverse diseases.
Size of the manuscript: 18,7cm x 2,8cm. The palm leaves of the text are numbered from 1 to 11; the leaf 8 is missing. There are two blank leaves placed at the begining and the end of the manuscript. The manuscript is in good condition, the leaves are slightly damaged by larvae.
