The manuscript is made of a text formed by palm leaves numbered from 2 to 12. The manuscript is in average condition. The leaves are very fragile due to fungus infestation; they are dark and some are broken and affected by larvae.
The text, written in verses and entitled Viṣa Vaittiyam, deals with poisoning by animal bites. These leaves, however, concern only the animal category of snakes (pampu) for which they describe their physical characteristics (tōṟṟam), their reproduction (pāmpukaḷiṉ iṉam), their qualities (kuṇam) and their habitat (vāḻum iṭam). The text provides some information on the snake bite such as the symptoms, the remedies, and also on the days according to a person is bitten (kaṭikkum tiṉam) as the prognostic of the bite is influenced by the star.
Size of the manuscript: 36,0cm x 3,0cm. The palm leaves are numbered from 2 to 12. The manuscript is very fragile due to fungus infestation; some leaves broken, affected by larvae or dark.
