The manuscript is constituted of three texts, written in verses. The manuscript is in average condition. The palm leaves, affected by larvae and fungus, are fragile and breakable; some leaves, notably of the third text, are broken.
Text 1- The text, entitled Karuvūrār Maṟappu Cūttiram- 32, contains palm leaves numbered from 1 to 6; it is complete. The text deals with magic and alchemy. It describes the method to prepare a magical black paste used as eye liner (añcaṉa mai) as well as a back pill called karu kuru (use in magic?). It specifies the properties of gold (poṉ) and silver (veḷḷi).
Text 2- The text, entitled Cuntarāṉantar Cūttiram- 32, is formed by the palm leaves numbered from 7 to 13; it is complete. It presents treatment for poisonous bites (viṣa vaittiyam). Dealing with magic, it exposes the arts (vittai) of warding off evil spirits (picācu) and of usiing magical black paste (mai vittai) and describes medicines (maruntu; not named) to neutralise witchcraft’s acts (pilli) and poison introduced into food to kill a person (iṭu mayakkam).
Text 3- The text is formed by 76 palm leaves numbered between 33 and 109 on which verses from 332 to 1232 are written. The text concerns the formulations of Turucu cuṇṇam and Kauri cuṇṇam and of a pill (kuḷikai), and preparation of pungent liquids such as makā tirāvakam and cāra ceyanīr used in medicine and alchemy.
The text describes the process to purify (cutti) raw materials, to make a crucible (kukai) used in the incineration process (puṭam) and to prepare mercuric chloride (makā cavvīram).
It mentions the synonyms of medicinal plants such as Terminalia chebula (kaṭukkāy) and Piper nigrum (miḷaku), and also a synonym of the mineral gypsum (cilācattu).
This text approaches esotericism by mentioning the path to attain knowledge (ñāṉa mārkkam).
