- Petition to the strategus of the Oxyrhynchite nome from Titus Flavius Eudaemon, town councillor of Alexandria, represented by Aurelius Ammonius, town councillor of Oxyrhynchus, enclosing earlier documents concerning a dispute over property involving his wife. The documents are the copy of a letter (lines 7-14) from the deputy-archidikastes (official with judicial authority) Marcus Aurelius Menelaus to the strategus, and the petition (lines 15-23) of Eudaemon to Menelaus, reporting the ruling of the prefect on the case. Eudaemon now asks the strategus that the keepers of the public archives be informed in order to avoid fraud. With subscription of Eudaemon at the end.

- Portion of a papyrus sheet, mutilated on the sides, but complete at the top and bottom; with abrasion and insect holes in places; written on one side along the fibres, the back being blank. On the front, there are portions of 24 lines, lacking both beginnings and ends. The upper and lower margins measure 51 and 85 mm respectively; three vertical folds are visible. The papyrus is mounted on cardboard in a glass frame.

Script: Competent, neat, upright hand, with some ligatured sequences of letters; different hand, cursive and slanting to the right, for the subscription in the last two lines.

Provenance: Oxyrhynchus, Oxyrhynchite nome, Egypt. Purchased as part of a lot comprising Papyri 2103-2238 from Bernard Pyne Grenfell (b. 1869, d. 1926) in May 1920.
