EAP1150/1/54/2: Sāsanālaṅkāra cā tamḥ [Sāsanālaṅkāra cā tamʻʺ]
Description: A vernacular prose account of the transmission of Buddhist teaching and monastic lineage composed by a former royal monastic advisor turned minister in response to a request by King Bagyidaw (r. 1819-1837). As is often the case, this manuscript exemplar does not contain a copy of a request made to Mahādhammasaṅkraṃ by atvaṅḥ van Cho mruiʹ cāḥ Maṅḥ krīḥ Sīrimahānandasaṅkraṃ who was acting under royal command.Extent: One fascicle of 99 inscribed palm-leaf folios (ff. thaṃ [207] - ya [305]).Author(s)/Creator(s): Mahādhammasaṅkraṃ.Additional date information: Composed in 1831, copied 1911
