EAP1150/1/94/1: Moggallānavuttipakaraṇa nissaya
Description: A bilingual translation of Moggallānavyākaraṇa (short rules of Pali grammar intended for memorization) accompanied by vutti (explanation of rules). Moggallānavutti is one of the standard works on Pāli grammar alongside with Kaccāyana. Bhurāḥ krīḥ Charā tau, the author of this nissaya, claimed that he has compiled the nissaya for the benefit of students because the earlier nissayas of this text got too corrupted in the course of transmission.Extent: One fascicle of 39 inscribed and one uninscribed palm-leaf folios (ff. tā [3] - ni [42]).Condition of original material: Incomplete fascicle, unknown number of folios preceding f. tā as well as eleven more folios (ff. ti-tha) missing.Author(s)/Creator(s): Jāgarābhidhajasīlapavarālaṅkāra mahādhammarājādhirājāguru (Jāgara), Bhurāḥ krīḥ Charā tau.Additional date information: Copied 1899
EAP1150/1/94/2: Moggallāna Ṇvādi-vutti nissaya
Description: A bilingual translation of Saṅgharakkhita's supplementary work to Moggallāna's grammar of Pāli.Extent: One fascicle of 51 inscribed palm-leaf folios (ff. nī [43] - bhū [92]).Author(s)/Creator(s): Jāgarābhidhajasīlapavarālaṅkāra mahādhammarājādhirājāguru (Jāgara), Bhurāḥ krīḥ Charā tau.Additional date information: Copied c. 1899
EAP1150/1/94/3: Moggallānapadasādhana nissaya
Description: Moggallānapadasādhana nissaya represents a bilingual translation and commentary on a Pali grammatical work Moggallānapadasādhana compiled by Piyadassi in the 12th or 13th century. Padasādhana is rather known in Burma as Mūla Moggallāna so the title used in the work itself is Mūla Moggallāna nissaya. Bhurāḥ krīḥ Charā tau, the author of this nissaya, considered Moggallānapadasādhana to be the work of Saṅgharakkhita, the author of Moggallāna Ṇvādi-vutti and Moggallāna pañcikā ṭīkā, and interpreted the word "Piyadassi" used in the colophon of Moggallānapadasādhana as an epithet of Saṅgharakkhita and not as a personal name.Extent: One fascicle of 65 inscribed palm-leaf folios (ff. bhe [93] - saṃ [169]).Author(s)/Creator(s): Jāgarābhidhajasīlapavarālaṅkāra mahādhammarājādhirājāguru (Jāgara), Bhurāḥ krīḥ Charā tau.Additional date information: Copied 1899
