Description: A vernacular prose account of the transmission of Buddhist teaching and monastic lineage composed by a former royal monastic advisor turned minister in response to a request by King Bagyidaw (r. 1819-1837). As is often the case, this manuscript exemplar does not contain a copy of a request made to Mahādhammasaṅkraṃ by atvaṅḥ van Cho mruiʹ cāḥ Maṅḥ krīḥ Sīrimahānandasaṅkraṃ who was acting under royal command.Extent: Approximately 20 folios.Author(s)/Creator(s): Mahādhammasaṅkraṃ.Additional date information: Composed in 1831
