The volume contains baptismal records of enslaved individuals registered in the Church of Nossa Senhora da Apresentação de Irajá. Entries date from 02 April 1702 to 04 March 1739. The entries were signed by Vicar Francisco de Araujo Macedo, Antonio de Araujo Silva (?), João de Barcelos Machado, and Bernardo de Almeida. The volume refers to the Mina nation and to slaves belonging to Dr. Francisco Veiga Leitão and Dr. Francisco Luiz Porto. On 08 January 1708, a pastoral visit was conducted by Miguel de Noronha da Câmara. There are no opening or closing charters.
Physical characteristics: The volume is comprised of 137 folhas numbered folios considerably damaged by ink and insects. The following folios were not photographed due to their fragility: fl 60v, fl 61v, fls 68v-71f , fls 72v-77f, fls 78v -87v, fls 88v-91f. Dimensions: 32.5cm x 24 cm.
