The volume records baptisms of indigenous, enslaved, freed (forro/liberto), and free individuals registered in the Church of Nossa Senhora da Assunção de Cabo Frio, RJ. There is no opening charter; the closing charter was signed by Municipal Judge Alexandre Manoel de Araújo Pontes on 09 May 1836. Indigenous people are recorded with their Christian names. Entries are signed by Vicar T Manoel Luiz Gomes.
Physical characteristics: The volume has 195 numbered folios. It has no cover and has come loose from the spine; in addition, it shows signs of insect and ink damage. Dimensions: 34cm x 23cm.
