The volume records burials of enslaved, freed (forro/liberto), and free individuals registered in the church of Nossa Senhora da Assunção de Cabo Frio, RJ dating from 31 Jan 1798 to 29 Dec 1802. The opening and closing charters are dated June 1799 and were signed by Vicar Manuel D’Almeida (de Almeida) Barreto. The volume includes some wills; entries were signed by the following clergy: Vicar Manoel de Almeida and João Manoel Costa e Castro.
Physical characteristics: The volume has 53 numbered folios. It has no cover and is highly deteriorated by insects and ink. Due to the poor state of conservation, it was not possible to photograph folios 43 through 53. Dimensions: 33cm x 24cm.
