The volume records burials of enslaved, free, and indigenous people registered in the Church of Nossa Senhora da Assunção de Cabo Frio, in Cabo Frio, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The opening and closing charters were signed on 21 Mar 1882 by João Pedro de Faria, who references the vicar of the time, José Francisco Marques. Entries date from 08 Jan 1882 through 04 Jan 1944. Entries were signed by the following clergy: Friar Afonso (?) O.F.M, José Francisco Marques, and José Duarte Nunes.
Physical characteristics: The volume is comprised of 294 numbered folios and a cover. Some of the folios have come loose from the binding; overall, the volume is in a good state of conservation. Dimensions: 35cm x 24cm.
