The volume records slave baptisms registered in the Church of Nossa Senhora da Conceição de Rio Bonito. The entries date from 02 May 1858 to 14 Sep 1872. The opening and closing charters are dated 05 Mar 1858 and were signed by Carlos. Freed (forro/liberto) godparents appear. The following clergy signed the entries: Manoel Joaquim Cattarino (Catharino); Vicar Virtulino Bezerra Cavalcanti; Manoel Machado da Motta; Domingos José Teixeira Barboza; José Antonio Rodrigues; Joaquim Marianno de Castro Araújo; Pro Parocho Bernardo Antonio Lima de Velasco; Reverend José Monteiro; Rufino José Alvares; and Alexandre Rodrigues Braga.
Physical characteristics: The volume is comprised of 122 numbered folios, which have been damaged by insects. It received preventive conservation with Japanese paper. Dimensions: 45cm x 30cm.
