The volume records burials of enslaved individuals registered in the Church of Nossa Senhora da Conceição de Rio Bonito. Entries date from 01 Apr 1862 to 23 Dec 1881. The opening charter was signed by the provedor of the Chapel, José (?) de Gouvêa, and dated 27 Mar 1862; there is no closing charter. The folios were numbered by the same individual who signed the opening charter. The following clergy signed the entries: Vicar Virtulino Bezerra Cavalcante and Pastor (Parocho) Bernardo Antonio Lima de Velasco. The entries end on folio 118.
Physical characteristics: The volume is comprised of 192 numbered folios. Some folios have come loose from the binding and have damage from mildew and dirt. Folios 187 through 192 were not photograhped due to their high level of deterioration. Dimensions: 39cm x 26cm.
