The volume records burials of freed (free) and free individuals registered in the Church of Nossa Senhora da Conceição de Rio Bonito and dating between 01 Aug 1867 and 16 Jul 1879. The opening and closing charters were signed by one Mesquita (Mesq.ta) on 30 Oct 1866, who also enumerated the pages. Some burials of white (Portuguese) indivdiuals are also recorded in the volume. The volume records the burials of Major Manoel Joaquim da Costa (35V), Tenente Manoel Gonçalves Ferreira do Nascimento (94V), Lieutenant João Diego Duarte (199V), Captain João Duarte Loureiro (122F), Father Alexandre Rodrigues Braga (?) de Gaviões (137V), Lieutenant José Soares de Resende (179V), Captain Manuel Per.a dos Santos Silva (198V), and Father Antonio José de Freitas (199F). African ethnonyms and "nations" mentioned: Benguella (Benguela), Congo. Vicar Virtulino Bezerra Cavalcanti signed the entries.
