The volume records the burials of freed (forro) and free individuals registered in the Church of Nossa Senhora de Nazaré, Saquarema-RJ. Entries date from 16 May 1836 through 20 Jun 1862. The opening charter was signed by the Municipal Judge, Francisco Freire da Motta, on 22 Jan 1841. The following clergy signed the entries: Joaquim José da Costa and Raphael Teixeira de Azevedo Machado. Several entries concern aggregates ("agregados") of Captain José ; in several entries, the social condition (forro or free) was recorded beneath the name. The volume also includes some testaments.
Physical characteristics: The volume consists of 145 numbered folhas numeradas. It does not have a cover; the folios are in good condition overall. Dimensions: 48cm x 31cm.
