The volume records baptisms of enslaved, freed (forro), free, and indigenous people registered in the Church of Nossa Senhora do Amparo de Maricá, Maricá-RJ. Entries date from 11 Dec 1701 to 11 Jun 1715. The opening charter was signed by Félix de Souza on an unknown date; there is no closing charter. The volume notes a pastoral visit realized on 14 June 1714 on folio 24v. The book was inspected by the visitor (visitador) of the bishopric on 21 November 1707; the priest was instructed to register the parish of the parents of the baptized (folio 10f). The following clergy signed the entries: Félix de Souza, Angelo do Monte, Thomas dos Santos, and Jozeph de Lima.
Physical characteristics: The volume has a cover, but its folios have come loose from the binding and have been damaged by insects. Dimensions: 32cm x 24cm.
