The volume records baptisms of enslaved and free individuals registered in the Church of Nossa Senhora do Amparo de Maricá, Maricá-RJ and dating from 03 Jun 1861 to 19 Jul 1870. There is no opening charter; the closing charter was signed on 20 Jun 1861 by Antonio Lopes Ferreira de S. The volume records a pastoral visit conducted on 18 Oct 1895 by the Bishop of Niterói. Entries were signed by the following clergy: Vicar Sebastião de Azedevo Araujo e Gama, Manoel Joaquim Henriques, João Vieira, and Coadjutor Franisco Leite D'Almeida Magalhães.
