The volume records baptisms of enslaved and free people registered in the Church of São Gonçalo do Amarante and comprises the period between 01 Jun 1791 and 07 Jan 1792. There are some records of baptisms realized in other parishes. There is no opening charter; the closing charter was dated 10 Nov 1758, and states that the volume counts 235 numbered folios. The following clergy signed the entries: Coadjutor Domingos Dias and Vicar Bento José Ferreira da Matta.
Physical characteristics: The volume consists of 10 numbered folios (226 through 235) of a larger volume. The folios are not bound; they have been damaged by insects and were stored in a folder. Dimensions: 36.5cm x 26cm.
