This volume contains burial records of free individuals registered in the Church of São Gonçalo do Amarante. Entries date from 23 Nov 1733 through 08 Sept 1735. There is no opening or closing charter. The volume also includes some testaments, which refer to slaves, land, and the manumission of slaves. Folios 10 through 15 pertain to a different book of burial records. The volume documents a pastoral visit realized on 29 May 1749 by one Domingos [D.os] Moreira [Moreira]. African ethnonyms and "nations" mentioned: Congo. Entries were signed by the following clergy: Vicar Ignacio (?) Correa; Coadjutor Francisco Gomes; Joao de M.tos dos (?); Vicar Verisímo de Sá; and Coadjutor Alfonso Pr.a de Castro.
Physical characteristics: The volume is comprised of 31 insect-damaged folios. Its back cover is missing. Dimensions: 32cm x 21cm.
