This volume contains burial records dating from 23 Mar 1743 to 05 Apr 1754 and baptismal records from 30 May 1749 to 29 Feb 1768 of slaves registered in the Church of São Gonçalo do Amarante. There is not opening charter; the closing charter is dated 06 Oct 1742 and designates the book for documenting slave deaths. The following African ethnonyms appear: Angola, Guiné, Mina, Cabo Verde, and Congo. There is reference to the Black brotherhood (Irmandade) of Nossa Senhora do Rosário dos Pretos and there is a burial record of an indigenous woman named Irê. The following clergy signed the burial records: Coadjutor Manoel Monteiro (?) de Campos; Antonio Moreyra; Coadjutor Manoel de Crasto (?) Aguiar; Coadjutor Pedro da Costa Ribeyro; Coadjutor Veríssimo da Rocha; Vicar Francisco Correa Vidigal; and Coadjutor Paulo Gomes de Frias. The following clergy signed the baptismal records: Coadjutor Manoel de Crasto (?) Aquino; Coadjutor Verissimo da Rocha; Vicar Francisco Correa Vidigal ; Coadjutor Paulo Gomes de Frias; Coadjutor Pedro da Fonseca; Commissioned Vicar João da Matta, and Vicar Bento José Carvalho (?) Barros. Some of the baptismal records mention the chapel of Nossa Senhora da Luz. .
