The volume records burials of enslaved and freed (forro) individuals registered in the Church of São Gonçalo do Amarante between 27 Jul 1789 and 13 Nov 1780. It has no opening or closing charters. Entries were signed by Coadjutor José Correa de Azeredo and Coadjutor Francisco da Costa Pereira. The volume records the burials of children (innocentes). The volume records the burials of enslaved individuals belonging to one Capitão Mor Belchior Rangel and another Captain André (?).
Physical characteristics: The volume is comprised of 10 unnumbered, sequential folios that have come loose from their original binding. It has no cover. It is the fragment of a larger volume and is difficult to read ue to ink damage, holes, and tears. Dimensions: 29cmx18cm.
