The volume records baptisms of enslaved and free people registered in the Church of São João Batista de Itaboraí - RJ between 28 Aug 1741 and 15 Jun 1747. There are no opening or closing charters. The following clergy signed the entries: José Rodrigues (?); Coadjutor Manoel Gonçalves; Antonio da Fonseca Pinto; Coadjutor Francisco de Santa Thereza. The volume mentions a pastoral visit on 22 Dec 1742.
Physical characteristics: The volume consists of 76 numbered folios. It has no cover; some of the folios have come loose from the binding and have been severely damaged by insects. Dimensions: 36cm x 25.5cm.
