The volume contains burial records of free individuals registered in the Church of São João Batista, Itaboraí - RJ, between 26 Oct 1743 and 18 Jan 1761. The volume opens on folio 45; it has no opening or closing charters. In addition to burial records, the volume includes some testaments that mention enslaved people. Entries were signed by the following clergy: Vicar José Rodrigues (?); Vicar Luis Aguiar Menezes; Father Manoel Falcão Costa; Vicar Bento José Caetano (?); Coadjutor Manoel Lopes (?); and Vicar Manoel Gago (?) Santos. Some of the records note the interment of the deceased in the "Desterro" Chapel.
