This volume contains baptismal records of enslaved, freed (forro), free, and indigenous people registered in the Church of São Pedro da Aldeia, São Pedro da Aldeia-RJ. Entries date from 22 Feb 1856 to 14 Aug 1864. There are no opening or closing charters. Entries were signed by Vicar Manoel Martins Teixeira. Manumissions at the baptismal font ("alforrias de pia") are documented on folios 8F, 16F, 41F, 163F, 174V, 182V, and 188F.
Physical characteristics: The volume consists of 298 numbered folios. It does not have a cover; some of the folios have come loose from the original binding and are severely damaged. Dimensions: 40cm x 25.5cm.
