The volume contains burial records of enslaved and free people registered in the Church of São Pedro da Aldeia, São Pedro da Aldeia-RJ. Entries date from 09 Jul 1849 to 02 Jun 1863. The opening and closing charters were signed on 04 Apr 1850 by Vicar Manoel Martins Teixeira. Entries were signed by Vicar Manoel Martins Teixeira. Entries note the cause of death, when known. On folio 1f, the second entry refers to a "pagan slave" (escravo pagão). On folio 249f, marriages celebrated on 11 Apr 1863 are recorded.
Physical characteristics: The volume consists of 255 numbered folios that have come loose from the original binding. It does not have a cover. Dimensions: 42cm x 28cm.
