This volume contains baptismal records of enslaved individuals registered in the Church of Santo Rita do Rio Negro, Cantagalo, Rio de Janeiro. Entries date from 15 January 1843 through 05 May 1890. The book does not follow chronological order; the first entry is dated 25 June 1845 and the final entry 02 February 1846. There are no opening or closing charters. There are baptismal records of enslaved adults. Entries were signed by Vicar Jacob Jorge.
Physical characteristics: The volume has no cover. The volume has 214 individual folios that have been damaged by insects.
