This volume contains marriage records of enslaved people registered in the Church of São Sebastião de Itaipu, Niterói-RJ. Entries date from 20 May 1743 to 07 Oct 1758. There is no opening charter; the closing charter was signed by Lourenço (?), but a tear in the page obscures the date and other information. The volume documents slaves of one Canon Mathias de Albuquerque as well as a pastoral visit in September 1747. Entries were signed by the following clergy: Manoel Francisco da Costa and Antonio de Madureyra (?).
Physical characteristics: The volume has 27 unnumbered folios without a cover or binding. Insects have severely damaged the volume. Dimensions: 34.5cm X 24cm.
