This volume contains records of slave burials registered in the Church of Santana do Bananal, Rio de Janeiro. Entries date from 5 April 1859 through 7 July 1862. There are no opening or closing charters; the volume begins on folio 215. There is one register of a free African (africano livre) on folio 218F. Ethnonyms and "nations" mentioned: Congo, Bengella (Benguela). The entries were signed by Vicar João Pedro do Espirito Santo Leitão.
Physical characteristics: The volume contains 10 folios that show slight signs of deterioration. There is no cover. Dimensions: 31cmX 20cm.
