This volume contains burial records of enslaved and free people registered in the Church of Nossa Senhora da Conceição de Porto das Caixas, Itaboraí-RJ. Entries date from 01 Feb 1860 to 24 Sep 1902. Some of the entries list the cause of death; at the end of the volume, there are records from 1887 and 1881. There are no opening or closing charters. African ethnonyms mentioned: Angola. The volume documents a pastoral visit by the Bishop of Petrópolis, D. Francisco, that took place on 30 Aug 1898. The following clergy signed the entries: Manoel Florentino Cassiano de Campos; José Monfati; Joaquim Freire de Araujo Coutinho; and Egydio (?).
Physical characteristics: The volume is comprised on 101 numbered folios. It has a cover; although the folios have some signs of insect damage, the volume is in good condition overall. The volume is blank after folio 49v.
