Left papyrus (A) (SB XXIV 16049, P.Lond. III 1284(a) descr., TM 22869): Two receipts issued for the same man, Aurelius Eutus, son of Didymus, for payments made in 257 and 258 on account of a tax called oktadrachmia. With traces of a preceding column.
Lines 1-7: Receipt for a payment of 8 drachmas; the last two lines, with a payment of 12 drachmas and the subscription, have been cancelled.
Lines 8-18: Receipt for three payments of 12 drachmas, and one payment of 8 drachmas, made on different days. With subscription of Aurelius Dionysius, councillor, at the end.
Right Papyrus (B) (SB XXIV 16049-16050, P.Lond. III 1284(a-b) descr., TM 22869, 22871): Fragmentary text of uncertain nature, presumably a tax payment or receipt of 280 drachmas, dated to 253-260. On the back there are remains of an account.

Two papyrus fragments that do not belong together, housed in the same glass frame.
Left papyrus (A): Broken off on the right- and left-hand sides, damaged at the top, with small insect holes in places; written on one side along the fibres, the back being blank. There is one column of 18 lines, lacking the ends, with blank space of 15 mm between lines 7 and 8; traces of the preceding column are visible opposite lines 15-18. The upper margin survives to 10 mm, the lower measures 60 mm.
Right papyrus (B): Broken off on the sides, and complete at the top and bottom; written on both sides. The front bears the central portions of 7 lines written along the fibres; the upper margin measures 30 mm and the lower 50 mm. On the back, there are portions of 16 lines across the fibres, abraded in places, with a trace of another line at the bottom.
