- Papyrus sheet, lacking part of its left-hand half and damaged on the right too; written on one side across the fibres, the back being blank. There are 13 lines, some of which are mutilated. Upper and lower margins survive to c.10 mm. Left and right margins are damaged. The papyrus is mounted on cardboard in a glass frame.

Script: Proficient and neat upright cursive hand; different hand for the subscription in the last line, more rapid and cursive, slightly sloping.

Provenance: Aphrodito, Antaiopolite nome, Egypt. Purchased as part of a lot comprising Papyri 2784-2849 as share from a joint purchase arranged with the University of Michigan, Yale University, Princeton University, Columbia University, and Wilfred Merton (b. 1888, d. 1957) from various dealers in November and December 1926. Papyri 2823-2849 were purchased from Maurice Nahman (b. 1868, d. 1948). Formally acquired in October 1927.
