First item in a book of spells to be recited for various purposes. The present item, which seems to be incomplete at the beginning, includes at least eight mantras for stopping bleeding, curing illnesses, tumors and so on. The seventh mantra, for illnesses of the teeth, jaws, and throat, is followed by a brief ritual manual (1v.1-3).

A brief mantra for illnesses of the eyes, to be recited three times a day with mindfulness. Note that312counts this as part of Item 1.

Unidentifieddhāraṇīthat protects from weapons, fire, water, and so on. Having written out the spell, wherever one places it will be free of infectious disease. Note that312counts this as part of Item 1. Note too that the folio is numbered on the verso.
