Incomplete at beginning. This is a commentary on the tantricsādhana,IOL Tib J 448/1, which is written in the same hand and on paper of the same size and appearance. See too thesādhanaatIOL Tib J 417/1which is explicitly linked to theSarvatathāgatatattvasaṃgraha(112). Some beginning folios are missing but probably not many, since the text picks up with the homage and generation ofbodhicitta. There is then a brief discussion on the importance of receiving the five empowerments, of crown, deity,mantras,mudrās, and name. This is followed by discussions of such topics as the vows, the recitation methods, the cultivation techniques (namely the fourmudrās ofmahāmudrā,samayamudrā,dharmamudrā,karmamudrā), finding an appropriate place, prostrations, generation of themaṇḍala, blessings and empowerments, offerings, accomplishing the fourmudrās,mantrarecitations and dispelling obstacles, dissolution, signs of accomplishment, and final dedications. Of these topics,IOL Tib J 448/1covers only the blessings through themantrarecitations, with the rest missing. The fourmudrās function as four aspects of the practice, withmahāmudrāreferring to the state of one's bodily union with the deity. The practice focuses on theVajradhātu maṇḍala, which normally favorsVairocanaas the primary deity (seeRf.9v.2-6), but here it is left open for the practitioner to focus on whichever of the five buddha families s/he chooses. As would be expected given its association with theSarvatathāgatatattvasaṃgraha, the present work consider itselfYoga tantraas opposed toKriyā tantra(seeRf.10r.2-4).

This is a shortsādhana, apparently for purifying one's negativities. It starts with a visualization for developingbodhicitta. Then amantrais recited. In this context there is a brief discussion of how to reconcile the systems of three, four, and five buddha families. Note that the solution is different than that found inIOL Tib J 448/3, 6v.5-6, a work that is written in the same hand and on the same kind of paper. The termmahāmudrāappears once, as another name for the vajra body of thetathāgata. Next comes a section on subjugating the local spirits using aphur bu(Rf.16v.1-17r.1), followed by a violentgtor maoffering rite (Rf.17r.3-8). Finally,Vajrasattvais visualized in a wrathful form and dissolves into all one's orifices to purify one's negative karma.

Incomplete at end. As it says in the first line, this work was intended, "for those wishing to perform the recitations forMahābala" ( stobs po che'i 'dzab bya bar 'dod na ). It is anothersādhanafor wrathful deities, with considerable attention given to themudrās andmantras attending each step of the ritual. Its format, with a series ofmudrās andmantras, matches that ofIOL Tib J 447/2.
