This is a short confessional prayer which has been linked by Kapstein to the tantra entitled:dam tshig thams cad kyi nyams chag skong ba'i lung lnga/_bshags pa thams cad kyi rgyud dri ma med pa'i rgyal po(see). The tantra is found inas well as thevol.pa, 5-126. Most of the the lines of this prayer are found in the tantra, separated by many interpolated lines. Most of the lines which appear in tha tantra are found in chapters 4, 5 and 6. The tantra forms a part of thena rak dong sprugscycle of thebka' ma. Kapstein has also linkedITJ_318to this cycle.
