- Letter of the governor Qurrah ben Sharik to Basilius, pagarch of Aphrodito, ordering him to disembark the supplies that had been loaded for transport and return them to the tax-payers, without making any demands of wheat and bread until the following harvest. Pulse and vinegar-oil should be dispatched at once. Papyrus 1395 is a fragment of the same letter.

- Portion of the same papyrus roll as Papyrus 1395, dark-brown in places, broken off at the top and left, complete at the bottom and right; written on one side across the fibres. The front bears the ends of 23 lines, fairly and regularly spaced; the beginnings of lines 7-23 are preserved in Papyrus 1395; right and lower margins extant. The papyrus is mounted on cardboard in a glass frame.
