- Fragmentary letter to Zenon from Apollodotus, writing from Ptolemais, presumably the Palestinian port, mentioning grain coming from Alexandria and a certain Apollophanes, perhaps a trading agent; with address on the back.

- Light-brown papyrus slip of poor quality, broken off on the right and left and with surface damage in places, especially along the horizontal folds; written on both sides. On the front, there are 4 lines running against the fibres, lacking beginnings and ends; upper and lower margins are extant. On the back, there are two words written along the fibres, written the other way up in relation to the text on the front; there are two papyrus patches, presumably added by the finders. The papyrus is housed in a glass frame.

Script: Medium-sized hand, somewhat uneven, with some ligatures.

Origin: Ptolemais Akko (Ake) (?), Israel.
Provenance: Philadelpheia, meris of Herakleides, Arsinoite nome, Egypt. Purchased as part of a lot comprising Papyri 2243-2304 from Maurice Nahman (b. 1868, d. 1948) through Ernest Alfred Thompson Wallis Budge (b. 1857, d. 1934) on 9 July 1921. Part of a joint purchase with the University of Michigan, Princeton University, Cornell University, the University of Geneva.
