- Letter of the governor Qurrah ben Sharik to Basilius, pagarch of Aphrodito, requesting a report on the sailors who had gone on the raiding fleet to Africa: more specifically, the number of those who had returned to Basilius’s administrative district and of those who had stayed in Africa (with reasons for doing so), and the number of those who had died in Africa and on the journey after their discharge. Date, summary, and name of the courier are on the back.

- Medium-dark brown papyrus, broken off at the top, with detached fragment at the top; with few holes, especially along the right edge, but otherwise well preserved; written on both sides. The front bears 16 lines written across the fibres transversa charta; the first line is in Arabic. Lower and side margins are minimal. On the back, there is a one-line docket written along the fibres at the top. Horizontal folds are still visible. The papyrus is housed in a glass frame.
